We believe that camp is about "fun, friendship, and adventure." However, none of this can be achieved without a safe program and properly maintained facility. There are many ways to ensure that our campers are safe.
- Our wellness center is administered by qualified medical personnel
- Campers' medical history and prescriptions are reviewed before he/she arrives
- Parents are informed if a child has to stay overnight in the Wellness Center or has to see a physician
- All members of our staff have basic first aid and CPR training from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
- Lifeguards are certified by the American Red Cross or other equivalent certification agencies
- Campers are always supervised by a staff member
- Background checks are performed on staff according to the American Camp Association standards and state law
- Clearly worded signs are posted throughout the camp concerning the safe use of equipment and facilities
- Bed checks are made every night
- The camp is accredited by the American Camp Association, which indicates that it has met their high standards for health and safety
