Welcome to Firebird Camp for Girls!

Located in the beautiful foothills of the West Virginia mountains in Eastern Ohio, Firebird has been a premiere private summer camp since 1954. Firebird offers sessions starting at 1 week up to 5 weeks for ages 6 to 15. Qualified 16 year old campers may be invited to become counselors in training (CITs). About two-thirds of the camp experience is co-ed with brother/sister Camp Roosevelt for Boys. Firebird has a separate campus from Roosevelt, and has more than 45 activities and programs including horseback riding, arts and crafts, dance, music, theater, cheerleading, gymnastics, climbing, ecology, sailing, canoeing, archery, riflery, Indian-lore, tripping and more. There are also lots of special events and activities throughout the summer like Pirate Tuesday on Wednesday, Backwards Day, President's Day, Pow-Wow Day, Carnival Day, Elections, and Com-Chee Kickoff.

New Scholarship Fund Available
Camps Firebird and Roosevelt would like to introduce our new scholarship program. It has been set up through the American Camp Association (ACA) and will enable your tax deductible donations to give children the opportunity to attend summer camp which may not otherwise be possible. Donations can be designated specifically for The Camp Firebird & Roosevelt Scholarship Fund and will be used by qualifying applicants who wish to enroll at our camp. On behalf of Camp Firebird and Roosevelt as well as future recipients we say thank-you. We deeply appreciate your generosity in helping a child experience camp.
